Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is not only a refrigerant. It is used to carbonate beverages, to freeze foods, as an inerting agent, a respiratory agent in hospitals, enrichment of green house atmospheres, municipal water treatment, controlled atmosphere fruit and vegetable storages, and enhanced oil recovery.
