Building combined cooling heating and power (BCHP) is considered as a high efficiency, reliable and cost effective technology to save primary energy, reduce carbon footprint in buildings. This paper proposes Principal Component Analysis (PCA) for predicting building combined cooling heating and power application potential in each state and regions. The application potential is quantified by principal component scores for comprehensively studying influential parameters. This paper applies the PCA procedures to a BCHP dataset and presents the results of BCHP system application potential. Compared with traditional weighting factor analysis, PCA produces a more reliable and objective result. The implication of each principal component is summarized. High application potential states and regions are also presented and discussed.
