This Registered Disclosure Document (RDD) describes a connector intended for use connecting a broadcastcamera to its camera control unit (CCU). This connector has been used in heavy-duty environments atbroadcasting facilities in Japan, other Asian countries and Central America. However, this connector has notbeen used in the United States of America yet. When this connector starts to be used in the United States ofAmerica in the future, the proponent will consider submitting it to SMPTE for formal standardization.
