This User’s Manual contains explanatory material, examples, and background material that are intended to aid the user in designing and constructing residential buildings that comply with ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 62.2-2004, Ventilation and Acceptable Indoor Air Quality in Low-Rise Residential Buildings. Standard 62.2 was written in mandatory language in order to be code enforceable, except for three appendices in informative language. This manual does not reproduce the requirements of the standard but rather paraphrases and explains them. This manual is intended to be used in conjunction with the standard.
*This edition of the User’s Manual is also suitable for use with the 2007 version of Standard 62.2. If using this User’s Manual with the 2007 version of the standard, please refer to Appendix C of the standard for a summary of changes. These listed revisions to the 2004 edition of Standard 62.2, on which the User’s Manual is based, are not extensive.
