Prior to renovation, a 100-year-oldschool building in Cincinnati, Ohio, was primarily served by steam radiatorsfed from a central boiler system with no central air conditioning and nomechanical ventilation. New systems created a 21st-century school with majorimprovements to energy efficiency, thermal comfort and IAQ, among others. Allthis was accomplished in less than half the time of a standard project—and athalf the expected cost.
