With the media coverage of the energy situation in California, it would be difficult not to be concerned about the status of energy availability and pricing throughout the U.S. Last year, more than $220 billion was spent in the U.S. to heat, cool and light buildings. With some geographic regions experiencing significant increases in electricity and natural gas prices, this value could be much higher in the years to come.
