This CD comprises the proceedings of Thermal Performance of the Exterior Envelopes of Whole Buildings XI, the eleventh international conference on this topic, sponsored by BETEC, ASHRAE, and organized by the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). The conference presented two concurrent tracks: Principles-Devoted to Research, on the theoretical aspects of the envelope’s influence; and Practices-Focusing on Practical Applications and Case Studies, highlighting proven or demonstrated techniques and systems. Manufacturers, research groups, technical advisors, architects, builders, and consulting engineers who want to increase their knowledge and awareness of buildings issues and solutions will want this CD.
Since its inception in 1979, the “Buildings Conference” has taken place once every three years, allowing time to develop new research and technology applications and to record the findings. Attendance is international and draws heavily on the advanced techniques of global experts. This eleventh conference was held on December 5-9, 2010, in Clearwater Beach, Florida.
