This paper provides an overview of methods for the control of gaseous contaminants, with emphasis on adsorption and catalytic oxidation. The four basic methods –ventilation and dilution, wet scrubbers, sOrbents, and combustion–are discussed. The different types of sorbents and adsorption mechanisms are described. In~ dustrial applications and typical control systems are detailed.
